Quarintine with Beers – the Covid19 story II

Hola Amigos… Back with couple of more beer stories..

Quaritine days were not yet over. Loads of places and businesses faced lockdowns and strict rules. But the relief amidst this pandemic was the fact that liquor sales were not stopped.  And I found a couple more new options to share with you all.

The first choice was White Owl. Yes you read it right. White owl breweries has four variants available in the market. And I was lucky enough to get my hands on all of them. Diablo, Ace, Spark and Spike.

White Owl

Ace however is technically not a beer but a Cider… Handcrafted with fresh apples and champagne yeast.

Spark is their Belgian Wit, with a punch of lemony orange zest is best for hot summer days. Ideal to sip away sitting on a beach. With an A/V of 5% it’s a lovely wit indeed.

Diablo gives hints of caramel, coffee and a slight bitter after taste. It’s their dark beer. With an A/V of 5% this Irish Red Ale is gonna steal the heart of dark beer lovers.

Spike with an A/V of 7.9% is definitely the strongest handcrafted bottled beer I have tasted yet. It’s a traditional German Weizenbock, that’s quite similar to a Hefeweizen. Low on IBU and a definite smooth brew, Spike was my favorite.

I would rate White Owl a good 4 out of 5 on an average. Spike alone makes it to 4.5. Am gonna stock up some White owl for sure.

The stakes were high after my experience with white owl and I was not sure if any other can match up to it. With a neutral mind I decided to go for the next.

The next in line was a bottled craft by Carlsberg. The Witlinger.

Witlinger

Witlinger is a smooth wit beer with an A/V of 5%. A creamy smooth pale ale, with a punch of orange zest, this beer is low on bitterness and a good option for wit lovers for sure. Overall I would rate it a 3.5 and would love to sip on a chilled pint on a summer noon.

This brings me to the end of this part. The journey has just started. More and more bottled handcrafts to go for and I can feel my taste buds ready for more..

Will return with more Beer Adventuress soon. Until then Ciao!

P. S – Don’t forget to like and share with other beer lovers… Cheers….
